Barry has been a “First Mover” in the UK “Online Leads Business” having been actively online since 1998 when he registered his first domains.

He launched and developed the very successful Ebuilders Ltd brand of Home Improvement Portals which included websites such as www.conservatoriesonline.com and www.doubleglazing.com

These websites included a Contractor Matching Service and an Information Request service (leads). The Ebuilders name was a “play” on Barry’s own experience as the owner of an offline building and contracting business – having decided that he now wanted to be an E-Builder – building home improvement websites rather than homes.

These websites and their related partners sites produced hundreds of thousands of leads and generate 10’s of millions in sales each year.

In 2006 Barry sold a controlling interest in Ebuilders Ltd and while he still has a small amount of involvement with Ebuilders he has decided that his next online business model will be as a “fixer-upper” of websites – a sort of online Virtual Property Development Business that in addition to developing it’s own websites will also buy and re-sell websites. This is the focus of MidasCode Ltd
